Bergen CLC 2024 Annual Holiday Party

The December 2024 Delegates Meeting of the Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council, AFL-CIO will be our annual Holiday Party. It will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 pm at
Sanzari’s New Bridge Inn
, located at 105 Old New Bridge Rd in New Milford.

2024 Philip J. McLewin 38th Annual Community Services Awards Breakfast

The Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council, AFL-CIO would like to invite you to the 2022 Philip J. McLewin 38th Annual Community Services Awards Breakfast on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 9:00 am. This year’s breakfast will be held at the Hasbrouck Heights Hilton Hotel located at 650 Terrace Ave in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.

We will be honoring Mike Schneider, Retired Business Manager from the AWIU Local 32 and President of the Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council, as our Labor Leader of the Year. We are proud to present our Community Services Award to Angelica Santomauro, Executive Director of the American Labor Museum.

We will also be presenting awards to the Abe Solomon and Ed Purtil Scholarship recipients.

Apply now for the 2017 Abe Solomon and Ed Purtill Scholarships

The Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council, AFL-CIO is pleased to offer eight scholarships for the year 2017. Each scholarship will be for $1,000. Only members of local unions affiliated with the Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council, and their dependents, are eligible and may apply.

We are giving four scholarships in the memory of Abe Solomon, the first elected president of the Bergen Country Central Trades and Labor Council, and four scholarships in the memory of Ed Purtill, the first Executive Director of the United Labor Agency of Bergen County, AFL-CIO Community Services.

The Selection Committee requests that all applications are returned by April 15, 2017.
